Tweed Shire Women’s Service provides opportunities for women to nurture
their inherent strengths and to make their own life choices by way of:
* A safe and stimulating resource centre
* Safe crisis accommodation for women and children escaping family violence
* Raising awareness of issues affecting women
* Providing opportunities for creativity and self-expression
Tweed Shire Women’s Resource Centre provides a women’s only space for women
to access free internet, library, information and resources, workshops or
just to relax and have a cuppa. Childminding is available for women
accessing the resource centre but times and spaces are limited so please
phone to check availability. Workers are available most days to assist women
who drop in or call to access information, support or referral to resources
from the wider community.
Support, counselling and information is available by appointment for women
requiring individual support for a crisis in their lives including domestic
violence. Support groups and workshops are held at the resource centre
during school terms.
There is also a Toy Library.
Find out about our many groups running this term at the TSWS website.
